If your library is in need of a new and improved reference area but you can't seem to get the funding you need to renovate, then simply do what the architecture library at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands did. Go ahead...see for yourself!



No, your eyes are not deceiving you. Those are indeed books you're seeing. I think this proves to be one of those rare instances where librarians can feel that all those hours spent weeding those never-ending shelves will not have gone to waste!
The bad news is that this beautiful desk, library, and entire building itself only came about after a devastating fire in 2008 destroyed the university's Faculty of Architecture building. The good news, however, is that the university also had a limitless supply of architects to transform the new space. Watch the video below to see the making of what is now called "BK City."
